NewsDate: Jan 30, 2010 Jr. Jacks Alum To West Point
Former Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks forward, Zak Zaremba, has committed to play hockey at West Point Military Academy starting in 2011-12. Zaremba played for the Jr. Jacks from 2006 to 2008 while still in high school. Zaremba is currently playing in Canada for the Brockville Braves in the Central Junior Hockey League where he has 32 points in 48 games (14G, 18A). Zak will be joining former Lumberjacks at West Pont, Marcel Alvarez and Brian Schultz. Head Coach/GM Bob Jacobson had these words about Zaremba, "Zak started with us as a sophomore in high school and was the youngest player we had ever had at 15 years old. He had the focus even at that young age of what he wanted to accomplish. At that time West Point was one of the schools Zak was interested in. To be able to meet his goals is a testament to Zak and his focus and work ethic." The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks and CSHL wish Zaremba well in his Division I hockey career.
