It took 12 seasons in the Central States Hockey League, but St. Louis Jr. Blues Head Coach, Jack Behan won his 500th game with a 3-2 overtime win over the Toledo Cherokee. Toledo jumped out a 2-0 lead, scoring on the first shot of the game and then later in the second period. Anthony Aukskalnis scored twice for the Cherokee before Chris Hutton and Ryan McGrath scored to tie the game. The goaltenders then battled through a scoreless third period before Nick Saracino scored 3 1/2 minutes in overtime to give the Jr. Blues, and Behan, his 500th win. After a Gatoraid bath in the lockeroom, Behan was presented with a plaque to commemorate the day. Click here to go back to news articles |
